Starting Simple in a Complicated Digital World

When I first started to build this project, I was buzzing with excitement. I pictured myself everywhere—on every platform, connecting with a growing audience, and fostering relationships through content that mattered. I had big dreams, a ton of energy… and absolutely no idea what tools I actually needed to make it all happen.

Then reality hit. 💥

To create the kind of atmosphere I envisioned—organized, creative, and not completely overwhelming—I realized I needed tools that made things easier, not harder. And more importantly, they had to be affordable (or free, let’s be honest 💸).

Let me tell you about the journey I went on!

Like many creators, I started with the big players:
Monday.com, Asana, Trello.

They looked incredible—beautiful interfaces, endless features, everything you could ask for to keep your projects on track. 🗂️✨
But after the 30-day trials ended, the price tags came knocking. And just like that, I was back to square one. ❌

That’s when it hit me: What if simple is better?

Sometimes, the best tools are the ones you already have at your fingertips. So, I shifted gears and embraced what was already available:

  • 📅 Google Calendar – for scheduling and visualizing my week
  • 📲 Buffer – to plan and manage social media posts
  • 📧 Outlook – for email and reminders
  • 🤖 ChatGPT – for brainstorming, writing, and refining my ideas

These tools may not be flashy, but they work: and they’ve kept me moving forward to build something meaningful.

Was it all smooth sailing? Definitely not. But I’m learning, adapting, and (surprisingly) loving the process.

To my fellow creators and entrepreneurs:
Don’t stress about having the “perfect” tech stack from day one.
Start with what you already know. Build from there. Add only when it makes sense. 🛠️

This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see where it goes.
Thanks for being here—you’re officially part of Day One.

Let’s build something great. Together. 💪✨

Warmly,

Dadou
