Hi, I’m Julia, the person behind Dadou’s Corner.

For the past year and a half, I have been building this project quietly, behind the scenes. This week, that changes.

On November 1, Dadou’s Corner becomes the centre of my working life. I will dedicate my time to growing this community and finding the right home for us to open in 2027.

Dadou’s Corner is a place for coffee, books, work and music. A place to gather, linger and belong, in the heart of Toronto.

This is my leap of faith. I am following my intuition and putting my time, energy and resources fully behind a project I believe in deeply.

The work ahead is clear. Finding partners. Creating flow. Visiting spaces. Securing the right legal and funding support. Step by step, this is the journey to opening day.

I have a date in mind, and a few promising leads. That is for another article.

Today, I simply want to mark this moment, and thank myself for giving Dadou’s Corner the chance to exist fully, with my unwavering attention.

Bonjour, je suis Julia, la personne derrière Dadou’s Corner.

Depuis un an et demi, je construis ce projet discrètement, en coulisses. Cette semaine, tout change.

Le 1er novembre, Dadou’s Corner devient le centre de ma vie professionnelle. Je consacrerai mon temps à faire grandir cette communauté et à trouver le lieu juste pour ouvrir nos portes en 2027.

Dadou’s Corner est un lieu pour le café, les livres, le travail et la musique. Un lieu pour se retrouver, prendre son temps et créer des liens, au cœur de Toronto.

C’est mon grand saut. Je suis mon intuition et je mets mon temps, mon énergie et mes ressources au service d’un projet en lequel je crois profondément.

Le travail à venir est clair. Trouver des partenaires. Penser le lieu et son rythme. Visiter des espaces. Obtenir l’accompagnement juridique et financier dont le projet a besoin. Pas à pas, c’est le chemin vers le jour de l’ouverture.

J’ai déjà une date en tête, et quelques pistes prometteuses. Ce sera pour un prochain article.

Aujourd’hui, je veux simplement marquer ce moment, et me remercier d’avoir donné à Dadou’s Corner la chance d’exister pleinement, avec toute mon attention.
